Celebrating LGBTQIA+ icons
On National Coming Out Day, we celebrated LGBTQIA+ icons who have courageously changed the world, inspiring students and faculty to live more authentically as themselves.
Members of Prism, the Gender and Sexuality Alliance (GSA), presented at Assembly about historic LGBTQIA+ figures and their oppression. We acknowledged that the erasure of LGBTQIA+ people historically has shaped the importance of coming out today. Thank you to our student speakers, and club advisors, Soren Erwich ’18 and Bridget Fitzpatrick, for stepping up and educating the community.
