Through dedication, teamwork, and spirited competition our student-athletes achieve their best through playing and training for sports while also developing a balanced and healthy lifestyle. Coaches and peers are integral to this process and are there every step of the way. Our coaching philosophy at Gould is centered upon mentorship and experiential learning to help build healthy, strong, and passionate student-athletes.

Gould Facilities
Our resources both on and off campus are as rich as our programming.
Lieblein Performance Center
More than half of Gould’s student body passes through the center daily as they prepare for, and return from, outdoor activities. Students enter Ordway Hall to visit the dining hall, then proceed to the Performance Center on the lower level to gather their ski gear, get on their bikes or use the tuning or workshop facilities. Coaches' offices and athletic training spaces are conveniently located in the space as well.
Features Olympic lifting platforms and power racks to hold structured team strength training sessions. In addition, we have a knowledgeable staff of certified strength and conditioning coaches that lead team strength training sessions to ensure proper technique and development of strength and power for sport.
Sunday River Resort & Paul Kailey Snow Sports Center
Our location in Bethel, Maine, which borders the White Mountain National Forest and the Mahoosuc Mountains, is also home to Sunday River Resort and our slopeside Paul Kailey Snow Sports Center, as well as a host of other spectacular areas for rock climbing, hiking, running, and cycling.
Tennis Courts
Outdoors, we have four tennis courts, four full-sized athletic fields, an artificial turf field, a baseball and softball diamond, 40 kilometers of on-campus Nordic ski and mountain biking trails that also utilize our new Pine Hill Yurt, and an award-winning 18-hole golf course only a short walk away.
The Farnsworth Field House
A multi-purpose complex that is home to Lombard Basketball Court, our fitness and weight-training center, an athletic training room, a trampoline room, an indoor skate park, two tennis courts, and a team-room.
We look forward to seeing you on campus!
From mountain biking and lacrosse, to soccer and skateboarding, to equestrian and ski patrol, we offer a very diverse selection of competitive sports so that each student may discover or continue to develop their passion.
We believe that learning through experience is not only valuable for our students, but an essential part of their journey while here, which is why we require all of our students to participate in a sport or activity each trimester.
