The Gould Mountain Biking and Enduro MTB Team program is highly developed and premier among boarding schools in New England.  The experienced coaching, the depth of talented athletes, and the overall size of our team have all contributed to the success in recent years.

This co-ed team now competes in the Northern New England High School Mountain Bike Race Series, and has earned the NEPSAC championships title several times. The Enduro MTB Team competes in the Maxxis Eastern States Cup events.

DIALED IN

Gould MTB athletes have had podium finishes at the U.S. Nationals, including a gold medal finish in 2017 Cat-3 XC. Gould MTB racers have gone on to bike for schools such as Lees-McRae College, University of Vermont, the University of Colorado at Boulder, and Lewis and Clark College.

On-campus, there are three different race-length singletrack courses, access to countless miles of trails locally as well as a downhill course with lift service at nearby Mt. Abram. Gould also has a 1,000-square-foot facility dedicated to storage, repairs, and indoor training as well as an enclosed 24-foot trailer for transporting bikes to races.

FIND YOUR FLOW

Gould Mountain Biking enables athletes to progress skills, develop increased endurance, and gain competitive strategies at all levels of racing. Team members have the ability to train year-round in other endurance sports such as Road Cycling in the spring, and Nordic and Alpine programs in the winter term.

The Mountain Biking program is also integrated into our Fall-term GACP training program to provide endurance and competitive components for on-snow specific athletes.
