National Language Honors Society Inductees

Gould’s chapters of the National Language Honor Society provide an opportunity to recognize outstanding scholarship in the study of the French and Spanish languages. The national language societies serve many purposes - they provide a vehicle for focusing activities around the French and Spanish language, literature, and cultures both here on campus, and in our greater region.  The societies will provide our students the chance to participate in international service projects.  Additionally, a student’s inclusion in the national society also allows for participation in an annual writing contest as well as the possibility to apply for annual travel grants and scholarships.
The motto of our French Society shows our faith in the importance that we accord to the study of a second language: L’homme qui sait deux langages en vaut deux! - The person who knows two languages is worth two people.
