Kelly Lieblein
B.A. Indiana University of Pennsylvania
Harrisburg, PA
Kelly’s first experience with Gould was by way of her two daughters who were competitive alpine ski racers from Pennsylvania. The eldest, Cassie, graduated from Gould in 2018 and went on to ski four years with the Colby College Division I alpine race team. Maddy graduated from Gould in 2020 and continues her ski passion at Middlebury College as a ski patroller at the Middlebury Snow Bowl. Outside of FIS ski racing, both were captains of Gould’s competitive women’s soccer team and enjoyed time in the ceramics studio. Supported by life-long friendships, it was this transformative Gould experience that led the Lieblein family to become nearly full-time residents of Bethel, Maine.
Kelly graduated with a BS degree in accounting from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and earned her Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license shortly thereafter. She worked at the
international accounting firm of KPMG for seven years before moving to private industry where she held the positions of Chief Financial Officer and Chief Executive Officer at companies within the healthcare industry. She more recently spent over 20 years at Highmark Blue Shield in several executive positions from provider contracting and relations to sales and service. Kelly retired as Regional Vice President in 2016.
Kelly and her husband, Rob, are committed to volunteering and philanthropy through initiatives
and projects that positively impact and change lives. Kelly served on the United Way of the Capital Region Board for 8 years, including 2 as Chairperson. She also was a founding member
and Chair of its Women’s Leadership Network, with the goal of engaging more women in philanthropy. Kelly also served on the Board and as Treasurer of the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education (PASSHE) Foundation for 12 years. PASSHE is comprised of 14 state-owned universities within the Commonwealth. The PASSHE Foundation raises funds and builds partnerships to increase student affordability and ensure student success.
In her free time, Kelly enjoys spending time with her family and skiing, hiking, and biking the mountains of western Maine.
