James Catlin ’07 Advancement Committee

James “Jimmy” grew up in Brunswick Maine and entered Gould as a sophomore with the encouragement of Uncle Al Ordway. In his three years at Gould Jimmy laid the foundations for the relationships that would affect his professional and personal life for years to come. After receiving a degree from Saint Michael's College in Vermont, Jimmy worked at ski resorts out West and at Sunday River. In 2013, Jimmy returned to Gould to work in Admissions with his girlfriend Jorie Ohlson ‘06, who worked as a nurse in the Health Center. Jorie and Jimmy worked at Gould for  two years. They left to move to the coast of Maine to build a tiny house on wheels and continue their careers. Jimmy has spent the last 4 years working in operations and logistics management across a number of industries. He loves a good challenge and working up a detailed plan. In the summers Jorie and Jimmy try to spend as much time as possible on the water and in the winter they are typically on the ski hill. Prior to joining the board of trustees,  Jimmy is served as a member of the Gould Academy Alumni Board.
