A year at Gould is packed with meaningful moments that add up to a one-of-a-kind experience surrounded by mountains and connected by friendships. To celebrate a year well lived, here are ten of our favorite Gould moments from 2024. What are yours?

May 2025 bring you just as much joy and adventure as this year did for us. Happy New Year! 🎆 🎉
  1. Witnessing the Great North American Eclipse in Grafton Notch was a once-in-a-lifetime event we experienced together and will never forget! 😎

  2. Junior Four Point is a formative winter camping expedition that generations of Gould students hold as a shared experience. ⛺

  3. Ninth Graders traveled to the Caribbean island Dominica for sea kayaking adventures with Gould alum Wes Moses ’89 and service projects with local school children. 🧳

  4. Students were treated to spectacular Northern Lights displays over the Mahoosuc Mountain range twice this year! ✨

  5. Mountain Day is always a top highlight as we break from classes to celebrate our place in the world as a community. 🥾

  6. A new mountain bike airbag allowed our competitive enduro athletes to safely perfect their tricks before taking them to the mountain. 🚵

  7. Joe Tomaselli's ’24 surprise Spring Concert performance with Doug Alford P’18,’20 brought down the house! 🎷

  8. Winter Carnival was a spirited celebration of winter, as always. 2024 marked the first time it was organized as an advisory Notch Competition. 🛷

  9. The innovative All-Mountain Program was introduced for accomplished freeski, freestyle, and freeride athletes who want to explore everything Sunday River offers without the competitive component. ⛷️

  10. No year is complete without Commencement. A bittersweet day when we say goodbye to our Seniors, knowing they are well-prepared for their next chapter. 🎓
