A new perspective to consider while learning to become environmental stewards

Deep in the mountains and surrounded by nature, the outdoors and this land play an essential role in what we do at Gould. This morning, fellows Soren Erwich ’18 and Adrian Lyne began assembly with a land acknowledgment for Indigenous Peoples’ Day. The cherished location we call home is the ancestral land of the Abenaki people, members of the Wabanaki Confederacy. The challenging and thoughtful presentation that followed gave students a new perspective to consider while learning to become stewards of their environment.
