Senior Day
After completing finals and returning laptops, seniors have one more opportunity to spend time together as a class. The class will enjoy their afternoon together off-campus before returning to Bethel for the annual Senior Gala, a dinner with Gould Academy Alumni at the Bethel Inn.

Seniors Report to Line Up for Baccalaureate. *Formal Dinner attire for all students

4:30-5:30 PM

This intimate ceremony is open only to seniors, family, and faculty. It features a student and faculty speaker chosen by the senior class and musical performance. Business casual dress recommended.

5:30-7:30 PM

Baccalaureate Reception and Dinner
Seniors, their families, faculty, and guests are invited to a reception honoring their achievements followed by dinner in Ordway Hall.

7:30-9:00 PM

Commencement Concert
This concert is a highlight of the year, featuring an array of musical performances. Open to all students, family, and guests. It is not to be missed. Students should arrive in classroom dress.

9:30 PM-1:00 AM

The End
All students bused to an undisclosed location for an end of the year party complete with food and a DJ. The last chance for the student body to be all together one last time before sending our Seniors off.

Gould students only. Also, please note that ALL transportation to and from “The End” will be in Gould Academy vehicles, no student cars permitted.

Saturday, June 2

Seniors Line Up wearing Caps and Gowns

10:30 AM

Commencement will take place, rain or shine, under a tent on Alumni Field outside of Ordway Hall. Faculty and Seniors will march, led by a bagpiper, from Hanscom Hall to the venue. Along with the awarding of diplomas, the ceremony features an elected student speaker, a valedictory speech, and a commencement address from Senior Writer for The New York Times, David Barstow.

Seating is plentiful, and tickets are not required to attend Commencement. There is no reserved seating except for those seats bought at the Gould Auction. We ask that families not reserve seats by leaving items on chairs if a family member is not present. Please note that School transportation will depart for the Portland Jetport & Trailways Station at approximately 1:00 PM. We ask that students be moved out of the dorms by 2:00 PM.
