Winter Outing Adventures
Happy Thursday Everyone!
This winter I chose to not pass up on an amazing opportunity and joined the Outing Club. The Winter Outing Club is a new extracurricular activity this year here at Gould. A group of eight of us students load up in an activity van every day and drive away and do some really cool things. Here is just a small sample of all of the variety of activities we have been able to take part in.

Skinned up and skied down the Mount Washington Auto Road. Here Elle ’17 and Jackson ’15 take in the hard earned view of Mt. Adams and Madison.

Learning how to belay and repel in Bingham Gym prior to our first ice climbing adventure with Mr. Hayward.

Stomping down the on-camupus single track mountain biking trails with snowshoes prior to the first ever “fat bike” race.
Maybe the most amazing aspect of these adventures is that an entire school day of classes fits perfectly around this fun. Only at Gould can you leave school after half day classes on Wednesday, drive 3o minutes over the the highest mountains in the New England, skin up a mountain to camp out in a cabin at the top with friends, only to ski down the next morning to make it back to class Thursday morning.
Thanks for reading and until next week!
