What’s in an international student’s food pantry?

January 28, 2015

Helloooooooooo everyoneee! First of all, I need to apologize for my absence throughout those last few weeks. Getting back from Christmas break was a whirlwind. I had a lot of catch ups to do! But on the bright side, I’m baacckkkk!

This week, I’m going to take you for a tour to the food pantry of my roommate and I. You know, every boarding student ( especially international student) has their own little secret place to store food. And I’m telling you, this place is holy, like holy holy. It could not be joked about, nor anyone could come closer to it. You need to be extremely careful when you’re around our food pantry, for we don’t take this matter lightly. This is serious!

Okay, I’m not trying to scare you, really. Let’s go!

I know, it looks super messy. This is for you can get a little bit of an overview

Instant curry. Super yummy. Super quick. Super hard to clean

Instant rice!!!

Yakisoba. These are japanese dry noodles. It’s really really gooood.

This is Japanese furikake. You sprinkle a little bit (or a lot) of those onto rice and voila, very delicious rice bowl.

Rice cake and Miso soup. Enough said.

All kind of instant things: rice noodle, congee, green-bean noodle ,… I have a lot more but they are just too much to show.

Hopefully we will have a part 2 soon, since me and my roommate have too many food to show …

Have a lovely week everyone!
