Welcome Back Gloggies! Let winter term commence
This morning, after the bright and early morning assembly, we were all able to meet up with our winter sports! HOORAH Buses were running up to the mountain, nordic skies were finally taken out of their lockers, and basketball sneakers were laced up. For myself, I met with the yearbook crew and browsed through some old yearbooks (recent and ancient!) then headed down to the field house for a “team” workout.
I think it’s fair to say that campus has a really awesome vibe right now. Lots of screaming and hugging has taken place in the past 24 hours as we start to welcome each other back to Bethel. The ground is coated in a thin layer of snow which puts a lot of Gould’s student into their natural environment and people are genuinely ready for winter. I can truly say that I am so ready to be back! (I missed my roommates ALOT)
Pretty soon we’ll all be going to the afternoon assembly and then to classes…. long pause… I am, however, really looking forward to a new english class I’m adding to my plate: Creative Writing with the one and only Mr. Bean. It’s a senior elective class that is only during the winter trimester, and it seems really interesting! I’m so happy I have the opportunity to take two english classes this winter (although it will be a ton of work) I’ve found that senior year is a great time to really create your own schedule and course load once you’ve met all of your graduating requirements.
Well that’s it for now. I know it was a short post, but there are lots of festivities to get to with all of this returning excitement.
See ya next week!
Buddha Quote of the Week: “All the holy words you read and all the holy words you speak are as nothing if you do not act upon them. Even if you read little and say little but live the right way, forsaking craving, hatred and delusion, you will know the truth and find calmness and will show others the path.” ~ Quote by The Buddha
