Those Last Couple Pushups
We’ve had a couple beautiful May days here, which has been making it very hard to want to do anything but lay out in the sun. I love the sun and this nice weather, but I’m looking forward to the next couple rainy days to actually get some work done.
We are getting to that point where the nice weather is contaminating our brains! Of course I think everyone should spend the most time outside as possible(because it’s so ridiculously beautiful here in the Spring) but we also have to make sure priorities are in check! Go outside with that book for English you still have a gazillion pages left in to read, or do your math on the picnic table and get a study group going. Be outside!! (but don’t completely slack off)
It’s like when I do pushups…all I want to do is watch Greys Anatomy on my phone and lay down on the mats in the gym, instead of listening to my motivational music and finishing up my pushups. Greys Anatomy> pushups.
(Unfortunately that’s how I look most of the time when I attempt to do pushups)
But come on people!!!! We’ve worked so hard to get where we are, especially you seniors! I know, I know, I am also guilty of, as Mr. Hoyle (Señor Diablo) would say, sandbagging, but we owe it to ourselves to end strong!
Now, not just the seniors, but everybody let’s all end strong, and finish out the last couple of pushups of this year.
Until next time!
ps. This week Buddha says, “We are what we think. All that we are arises with our thoughts. With our thoughts, we make the world.”
pps. NINE DAYS UNTIL MY 18TH BIRTHDAY!
