Thanksgiving CO Camp 2013 Part 1

November 28, 2013

So half the Snowboard Team headed to Denver on November 23rd, for the third annual Thanksgiving Summit County Snowboard Camp. This camp allows us to access early season jumps and Rockie Mtn length top to bottom trails. This year the camp will ride at Breckenridge and Keystone and will actually span Thanksgiving Day, making this the first time some have ever been away from home during this holiday time.

The riders on the trip this year were Bo Warren ’15, Mitch Romanowski ’16, Shannon Maguire ’16, Emma Bender ’16 and Liam Maguire ’18.

The journey begins as many of ours do, Boston Logan Airport. Where we met with the 5 snowboarders and 13 freestyle skiers flying out with myself and two ski coaches.

Then off to the Rockies

And while the East Coast battles with some crazy weather patterns, our riders rub shoulders with the worlds best, including the whole US and Norwegian National Slopestyle Teams and countless Pro riders all training on the only 3 jump line up in North America, in classic Rockie Mtn conditions.

So I’m gonna let the pictures do the talking for what went down in the first half of the week. Enjoy.
