Telstar Relays

January 5, 2016

The racing season has officially started!  We had three races over break: the Craftsbury Eastern Cup and the Telstar Relays. The Eastern Cup was a two day event that happened during the first weekend of break, there was a sprint Saturday and a 5k race on Sunday. Craftsbury had an amazing 1k loop of man-made snow, but while we were there it snowed about two inches! Many of us had good races and we were all excited to be back in the racing atmosphere and on snow. Results for this event can be found here. The Telstar relays were also a success, partially thanks to the snow that finally came! Gould came in second with a team of Leela, Duncan, Steph and Caleb. The second relay team came in sixth with Livy, Ben, Sam, and me.  In the individual race Izzy came in first and Lilo came in second for girls. Congratulations to all that raced. Results and pictures can be found at Maine High School Skiing.

There are a few announcements that need to be made:

1). Brad has the Gould Nordic Twitter back up and running. There will pictures, race results, and news posted regularly.

2). Marcus, Andrew and Jeremy are in Michigan at US Nationals for the next few days. You can watch a live video stream of the events in Michigan here.

3). Lastly, Fred has created a Vimeo account where he has posted individual videos of different team members skiing. This is a great way to see yourself ski and watch video on your own!

Happy Skiing!
