sweet, sweet victory.
This weekend was definitely one to be remembered. On Saturday, the men’s varsity lax team traveled to Hebron Academy for the MAISAD championships, and they took a fan van of almost 50 people to go cheer them on. All of our fans were right up against the sidelines, sporting some of the player’s new black jerseys, or wearing previously decorated tee-shirts. We had drums beating warrior beats, as we chanted for the players. Never in my life have I seen so much team spirit. The game was extremely exciting, and the score was always either tied, or Gould leading by one. In the last five or so minutes, Gould got ahead by two points, and were able to hold it together for the win. This was the first time in 13 years that Gould’s boys lacrosse team had taken home the MAISAD champion title. At the end of the game, the entire group of fans rushed the field, and celebrated with the team, ending the rush with a celebratory dumping of water onto Coach Lehman’s head. At that point however, I don’t think he cared he was soaking wet… his team had just won the championship game. What more could you ask for? Overall, it was a great day to be a husky. I hope everyone has a great last week of classes, and remember…
SUMMER’S ALMOST HERE!
