Super Bowl Sunday at Gould Academy

February 9, 2010

Super Bowl Sunday!

Study hall is moved from Sunday night to Sunday afternoon so students can watch the big game on the big screen.

Pre-game show starts on the big screen in Ordway Dining Hall at 3:30. Snacks provided.

Couches and bean bag chairs are brought from all over campus to the dining hall.

Brian Scheidegger and his crew create a meal to be remembered. Simply remarkable.

Just in case you can’t read this- we were offered Fried Oyster Po Boys, Steamed Crawfish, BBQ Pork Ribs, Payton Manning Fried Steak Sandwiches, Potato Skins, Buffalo Wings, 5 Foot Subs, Breaded Pork Tenderloin Sandwiches… and those are just the cards I could grab easily. There were Jalapeno Poppers, Nachos and Dip, Veggies and Dip, Cream Pie, Cake… and more! I have a feeling Brian likes an excuse to plan theme food.

Don’t forget also, Brian and his crew fed the Gould community all weekend as well as the visiting parents and trustees. How do they do it?

Saints win after a really good game (and I’m not much of a football fan)!

On another note, I hear it was a record-breaking fundraising auction this weekend! Thanks to all who supported the 4 point programs through generous donations.

Until next week!
