Steinway Series Piano Recital Thursday, December 1
Tamara Poddubnaya will return to Gould once again presenting a Steinway Series Recital Thursday, December 1 at 7:30 p.m. in Trustees Auditorium in the McLaughlin Science Building.
Joining Dr. Poddubnaya will be long time Music Without Borders attendee Veselin “Vesko” Ninov of Bulgaria, 20, a student of Dr. Poddubnaya at the Long Island Conservatory, and recent prize-winner in competitions in Canada and the United States. Also performing is newcomer Mark Demidovich, 23, a native of Kostroma, Russia, and a graduate of the Saratov Conservatory.
A distinguished graduate of St. Petersburg’s Rimsky-Korsakov Conservatory, Dr. Tamara Poddubnaya established herself as one of Russia’s foremost keyboard artists and piano teachers. Renowned for her masterful command of a vast repertoire, she has performed to great acclaim in Europe and the United States. She frequently serves on juries at international piano competitions teaching and performing in Russia, the Netherlands, and in the United States, where she is Professor of Piano at the Long Island Conservatory and visiting professor at the Portland Conservatory of Music.
