Silence is Golden
We were thinking about what to write about this week, and as we sit here the Silence is Golden. But we imagine it’s not quite the same for all of you out there. Your peace and harmony has been disrupted, you go to the fridge and all your food has gone, there are dishes in the sink and boy do you remember the bathroom looking like that. YES the kids are back in town, as much as you miss them we miss them as well. During the term they become part of our life and its definitely an adjustment when they go away……
A knock at the door this past weekend was some returning alums to tell us all about college, and to let us know they missed Gould.
Some of the On Snow Teams have been working out on the mountain and its great to see their rosy cheeks as they come in from the cold. Check out the new uniforms. Did we mention it snowed…….. its like a winter wonderland, and Christmas is still around the corner.
Thanksgiving……mmmmmm…. for those who don’t know us, we are from Great Britain and every year somebody will ask us ” Do you celebrate Thanksgiving in Great Britain ?” and show great surprise when we say we don’t.
So as a Thanksgiving treat, we’re going to ask you some Thanksgiving questions.
Have fun answering and see you all next week.
1. When was the first American Thanksgiving celebration?
2. Which state produces the most turkeys annually?
3. Approximately what percentage of American homes eats turkey on Thanksgiving?
Happy Turkey Day
