To start off here’s a picture of Bo Warren ’15 doing a backflip:

But let me back up a moment: for those of you who don’t know, we’re part of a school spirit challenge that raises money for the Good Shepherd Food Bank. The good thing about food banks is that they can more food for the dollar than we can at the grocery store. For every one dollar, the food bank can get five dollars worth of food.

It was an amazing day out and we were lucky to have such good weather, here’s a photo taken by Arturo Fernandez:

The day started off at 5:15 when Mr. Leach came to every dorm room being extremely loud and excited. We went to Ordway at 5:45 and for the first hour, we were on live T.V. and Jeff Peterson introduced what was going on. The band played well and Masa Yasumoto ’16 had an amazing solo on his electric violin. Here’s everyone getting ready to show their school spirit:

This was fun, but when we took the show outside, it began to get crazy. Bo Warren and Riley McDonough went off a jump they made and both did a backflip and the same time.

And they both went solo multiple times. Here’s Riley McDonough ’15 doing a backflip:

This was on Maine credit Union’s twitter page. And this was followed by a rail jam. Here’s a vine by CBS 13  News: https://vine.co/v/OjKdhDTFBXg

After the rail jam we had an assembly, and then broke into our advisories to brainstorm how we could raise money in the next few weeks. Today was so amazing and I’m glad we woke up early because we knew we were helping people. Thanks to the WGME 13 News crew for coming to Gould and the Good Shepherd food bank for letting us be a part of this.

See you next Friday!
