say goodbye to the past, hello to the future.
As I sit in the dark, snuggled up in my hotel bed with my laptop here at the Hilton in Ft. Lauderdale, I’m struggling to come up with things to write for this week’s glog entry. Since I wasn’t on campus this weekend, I’m not really in a good position to write about the activities and events that happened (maybe Mr. Alford can help me out). Instead, I voyaged down to sunny Miami where I made my final college visit to the University of Miami, also known as “the U.”
It’s amazing to think about all of the work the seniors have put in the past couple years, preparing for college… well, really all of the past for years here at the academy, and how it’s about to pay off so soon. One of my friends has a count-down calender on her phone for graduation, and every morning she proceeds to give me the exact number of days remaining until I step onto the stage to receive my diploma. Although I will be sad to leave my friends here at Gould, I know I am overjoyed at the thought of starting a new adventure next fall.
As I lay here, wearing my “It’s All About The U” tee-shirt, I can proudly claim that I am now a HURRICANE, apart of UM’s class of 2015, and I am more than ecstatic.
Although graduation will be a bit bittersweet, I am excited to say goodbye to the past, and and hello to the future… in Miami!
