Revolution Tour @ Seven Springs, PA

February 3, 2015

The Revolution Tour is recognized as one of the most competitive slopestyle event series for aspiring Freeskiers here in the US.  With a limited number of competitors and online registration, getting into these events isn’t always easy..  You can expect professional sized features and a very competitive field of athletes.

Seven Springs, Pennsylvania.  Probably not where you’d be expecting to head for a ski competition, but this venue has proven itself worthy for a few years now.

This is the view from the start ramp.  As you can see, the course starts out with a choice of 6 jib features, then heads into a 55ft jump followed by a 70ft jump.

If the sheer size of these features doesn’t seem intimidating enough, the guys also struggled with weather on both days of practice.  As you can tell from Riley’s lap above, the snow and wind made for tough jumping conditions..

We were lucky enough to catch some nice weather for the day of the comp and the spectators made their way up the mountain to watch the action go down!

Lucien taking some notes while watching Riley McDonough warm up for his run..  This was Lucien’s first Rev Tour and he did a great job stepping up to the big leagues.

See for yourself how the runs went below!!

Big Props go out to Kyler Walker who placed 11th along with Riley McDonough who finished 6th overall!!  These two are skiing better than they ever have.

Keep an eye out for more photos of the action through the eyes of Emmett Dorval-Hall!  They should be dropping on Facebook soon.
