Renovations begin at our small New England boarding school.
The writing is on the wall.

Students, faculty, staff, alumni, parents, trustees have all signed the wall leading into the Sanborn Family Library.
Phase I renovations to Hanscom Hall are about to begin in grand fashion.
There is a lot that goes into a building renovation.
Off the top of the head I can think of a strategic planning process, a campus planning committee, a comprehensive campaign feasibility study, hundreds of hours of philanthropic discussions and travel hours logged, construction committees, furnishings committees, transitions committees and more.
Phew! Yes, there is a lot of work with countless members of the Gould community invested.

New lighting and exposed sections of the original wood floor are among the renovations to take place in the library.
The signatures on the wall attest to that investment.
And now we’re at the doorstep.
It’s exciting work. It’s important work.
It’s work that begins on Saturday.
Here’s a sneak peak.

The future view through the Lamar Family Reading Room and down the hall into a renewed Sanborn Family Library.
We’ll keep you posted as the renovations occur and the renewed first floor and library begin to take shape.
