Portland, ME Skate Jam April 18, 2012

April 20, 2012

It was a crazy, wonderful skate jam.  A dude named Tanner did a 5-0 the complete length of the Brooklyn bank thing.  We hadn’t even started the jam.  Tanner had to go buy a car.  But he was killing it and he totally deserved a board.

The jam lasted an hour.  There were about forty riders.  John, from Long’s Board Shop, showed up and passed out drinks and stickers.  There were about six bikers who kind of got in the way, but most everyone skated hard, didn’t let up and here are a few pictures.  Our friend, Elijah Ackerley helped us judge and generally cruised.

All photos are by James Abbott.  Big thanks go out to Camp Woodward, SPoT, Zoo York, Rye Airfield, Vermont Skateboards, Bump Skateboards and everyone who skated!
