Pine Hill Intervals and Video

January 30, 2013

With three inches of powder falling over night and Coach Kline getting up early to lay down some fresh tracks, we headed out to Pine Hill for some classic intervals. Everyone skied a few warm-up loops then got into the workout which consisted of 3-5 loops with sections of 30 seconds-on/30 seconds-off. Ideally, we were hoping to work on pacing and race pace feel around specific transitions. Near perfect conditions made for an awesome morning of skiing. Hopefully the rain will hold off or turn to snow and our Pine Hill trails will hold up for the Middle School race tomorrow. (Schuyler got a great course preview today!)

Looking ahead, we will split into two crews this weekend. Nick, Jeremy and Brad will head to the famous Trapp Family Lodge for some fast and furious Eastern Cup/UVM carnival action, while Savannah will solo it to the Oxford Hill Sprints. It promises to be an exciting weekend of racing in Vermont and Maine!
