This week and next week are extremely important for many upperclassmen. This is because they are the spring AP testing weeks. They are three hour exams that have the potential to place a student out of a college class with a high enough score. There are students at Gould taking anywhere from one to six of these exams. I am taking two. My first was on Monday afternoon, AP comparative governments, and my second is next Wednesday morning, in AP language and composition. These tests measure the amount you have learned during the year and we prepare for them starting in September. I think my gov test went fairly well :).
On a separate note, as we are winding down to the end of the year (22 days left!) we are defiantly not winding down in our classes. We are starting many projects and in my physics class, we are in the process of building rockets to launch in a few weeks. Here are a few pictures of my class putting the rockets together.
This weekend is parents weekend, one that is especially important for Sophomores, Juniors and their parents. There are many representatives coming from different collages to give presentations to our visitors and it is a very informative fun weekend. There are also a ton of athletic events going on around campus so I encourage everyone to come take a peak at our womens tennis team on our new courts in front of the field house! We are taking on Hebron at 11:00am.
I hope everyone has a great weekend here and if you are around, try to find me and say hello!
