our most beautiful mountain village
Hey everyone! I hope you all had a great summer, and beginning of fall. I cannot believe it already the second week of October… and I’m already through the first month of my senior year! The time just keeps flying by…
For my first Glog entry this year, I decided I wanted to write about fall, and about the little ol’ town of Bethel, “Maine’s most beautiful mountain village.” Although I wouldn’t necessarily describe Bethel as a thriving metropolis, I would describe it as a simple, quaint and beautiful town. Although it only has one small grocery store, two cafes, a few restaurants, and only a couple inns, it definitely has a bigger personality. I never really took the time to appreciate Bethel until this morning, when Sarah and I took a walk to the IGA (the local grocer in town). I decided to bring my camera to capture the essence of fall, and its presence in Bethel and around campus. Fall is one of my favorite seasons, and I think that Bethel is one of the best places that captures it. Take a look at the pictures and decide for yourself. If my pictures don’t do the town enough justice, then just know that Bethel was named #2 in Yankee Magazine’s Top 25 foliage towns in New England.
Take a look:
I’m gonna go take advantage of the beautiful weather this time of year, so I’ll catch you guys later. Have a good week everyone!
