On the first day of Christmas, my true love gave to me…a SAM splint.
OVERHEARD IN THE DINING HALL- “Oh the weather outside is…colder.”
Aaaanddd….we’re back! And just like that, we’ll be gone again! This is a strange, intense, exhausting, exciting time at the Academy. Just under 3 weeks from start to finish, this little smidge of time (is “smidge” a word? ‘Cause it shoule be!) allows Gould students and teachers to get their collective feet underneath them with the winter schedule.
Eww…that made it sound like we collect feet.
Anyways, for those of you out there in Gloglovia who
A: don’t know me personally, or
2: Haven’t looked up at the cartoon-picture (car-tic-ture? pic-toon?) of me on this page, I am a ski patroller at Sunday River. Our patrol program has been growing at a crazy pace over the past few years. When I started doing this, there were about six students on Patrol. This year we have TWENTY-EIGHT. At this rate we should have the entire school in red and black jackets by 2017.
I wanted to show you all a little bit about what we do up at Sunday River all week. Here is a video about us, and I think it’s pretty good. SPIRIT OF FULL DISCLOSURE: This is a 3 year old video. Only the old guy with the gray beard is the same. But the activity is essentially the same one talked about in the vid. Enjoy!
Oh yeah, about the title. Look up SAM Splint here:
