Ninth grade events for the next two weeks
Now that all the ninth graders have arrived and are beginning to settle in, I feel it is important to share some of the upcoming ninth grade events for the first two weeks.
The first event is Friday, September 14 from 7:30pm to 8:30pm in Ordway Living Room.
This will be first event of the year and will allow the students to connect with each other, faculty and mentors. The students will participate in an introduction activity and then have time with faculty and mentors to work on their organizational habits regarding the info server, master notebook and academic planner. There will also be an ice cream sundae bar for everyone to enjoy.
The second event is Thursday, September 20 at Camp Kawanhee in Weld, ME.
We will be spending the day as a group utilizing the low and high ropes course elements with a focus on group dynamics. We will leave campus at 8:15 am from the bell tower and return around 4:30pm. Students will need to come dressed ready to spend the day out of doors. This means wearing closed toed shoes such as sneakers, have multiple layers and clothing that allows them to move, climb and jump.
It is a great day!
