Martin Luther King Day at Gould Academy

January 26, 2011

Each year we celebrate Martin Luther King Day with a dedicated program constructed by both faculty and students. It is always a thoughtful day with student driven presentations, a formal lunch that brings us all together, and powerful speeches culminating in a moment of reflection in the afternoon.

This year we were once again fortunate to have current parent and Phillips Exeter Academy’s school minister, Reverend Bob Thompson start the day by addressing the school. He spoke to all of us about finding our voice and his words rang true. Reverend Thompson’s voice is especially powerful when he uses it in song.

We were all moved by his voice and his words.

I think Kristian puts it best here.

For a photo montage of the entire day, enjoy the slide show we created.
