MAKING with food + fabric
The hardest thing about being on weekend duty is not the hanging out with kids (that is the good stuff) but the letting go of the weekend time to do the stuff that recharges me. Repurposing fabric into something else, trying new recipes, and making something I have never made before gets me reset for a week of work. Last week I catalogued this book for the library, and I cannot wait to dig onto some of the projects over break – especially this pouch made from mailer envelopes. I went into weekend duty with an eye on making in Gehring dorm, where I was for duty. Two projects emerged in Gehring and one was happing in a Holden dorm room.
Here are some of the making we did this weekend!
