LETS GO SEA DOGS!

May 23, 2014

Happy Friday Everyone!

It has been far too long since I have last glogged. We have been at a full sprint here once that the year is starting to come to a close. It just dawned on me that I only have three more chances to glog and then I graduate…Crazy stuff.

This week, the Baseball team and the Outing Club, with a few mens’ and women’s lacrosse players thrown in there, went to the Sea Dogs game. On Wednesday, after some of the baseball team took their AP Comparative Government and Politics exam, we hopped on a bus and drove down to Portland.

We opted for the all you can eat buffet of burgers, dogs, pulled chicken, beans, coleslaw, soda, and Sea Dogs Biscuits (ice cream cookie sandwich). Don’t ask how much food I ate; you don’t want to know.

We found some awesome new names! The most outrageous name there was Mookie Betts, a utility player for the Sea Dogs. But a close second went to Wilfredo Tovar of the Binghamton Mets.

Romance was also in the air at Hadlock Field:

Fellow Glogger, Natalie (Juana) asking Justin ('14) to Spring Fling!

It was truly an awesome time. We got to see a few home runs; Clara (’14), from Venezuela, got to speak with a Venezuelan pitcher; we all gained 45 pounds; caught some foul balls (Natalie caught a ball with her rib); got one of the home run balls; took some pictures with slugger; and most importantly, the Sea Dogs won!

Until Next Week,

Alec

Hi Alec, Sounds like a great trip. Mookie Betts is a good name. Reminds me of MATT BATTS , a catcher, who played late 1940’s early 1950’s for the Red Sox, White Sox, Tigers and others as well. Another great name. Take Care.
