Happy Friday Everyone!
I want to share with you one of the coolest events that Gould holds. SNOWBALL!!!
Snowball has been something that I have been surrounded by my entire life. I used to go to snowball when I was a little tyke and get all the girls to dance with me.
For Snowball, you must be in formal dress. First, everyone goes to a reception where there is sushi made in the dining hall, as well as other delicious appetizers. Following the reception, there is a dinner in Ordway Hall where there is usually a form of roasted meat and other delicious favorites. After the dinner is the fun part! Everyone, who isn’t a square, goes over to Bingham Gym and dances to a sixteen member live band playing classic swing music. Snowball is essentially Gould’s version of Prom. Over the past week and a half, the males of Gould have been asking the females of Gould to go to snowball with them in very fun, interesting ways! Everything from roses at assembly down to announcements at Formal Dinner.
As snowball is approaching, it dawned on me that one of my best friends, Doug (’14) another faculty kid who has been here for Snowballs in the past, will be experiencing his very last snowball! So, I took it upon myself to find a picture or two to help Doug remember.
After searching for a solid 30 minutes…Doug, why weren’t you in any pictures?
But Doug, I hope you have an awesome last Snowball! Make it one to remember!
Until Next Week,
