Last Day in Tanzania!
(Written By Mr. Hayward) The day started with a very early wake up to go meet members of the Hadze tribe and go on a hunt with them. We hiked approximately 3.5 miles with them on a productive hunt and then returned to their camp to see them prepare the bush baby (small squirrel like animal). We then had a chance to try their bow and arrows and a short song and dance.
It was then time to begin our trip towards Arusha to prepare for our departure. We stopped at Tumaini Junior School to play with the kids there and say goodbye before going to Tumaini Senior Secondary School to drop off our hosts and say our final goodbyes to everyone there.
We’ll be loading our plane to Turkey in a few hours and then we’ll be on our way to Boston. We’ll send updates on travel plans along the way if possible.
Blog-poster note: Mr. Hayward also sent along pictures from yesterday’s adventures. View them in the slideshow below and read more the group here.
