Sophomore Four Point began on Saturday evening with a special event hosted by the Alumni Board. Although it was a chilly night, all the tenth graders walked up to Mill Hill Inn for dinner. There was plenty to eat and everyone returned stuffed full of spaghetti and meatballs, garlic bread and salad. A big thank you to the Alumni Board for treating the kids to a meal off campus and to Lee Hughes and Woody Hughes ’75 for opening their Inn to us.
Upon return to campus, the students met in McLaughlin Science Center Auditorium to hear what this week has in store for them. Many seemed eager to take on “The Catlin Challenge” by the final dinner on Saturday evening. (At the beginning of his Sophomore Four Point, Jimmy Catlin ’07, knew the first and last names, as well as hometown, of each and every one of his classmates. No one has been able to accomplish this since. Jimmy is currently working in the Gould Admissions Office.)
After watching “The Perks of Being a Wallflower,” the kids snacked on cookies and milk. Sunday, our health and wellness day, should be fun and informative.
