Ice Cream Social Tomorrow Evening at 8:30pm

September 9, 2010

Everyone is enjoying their first week of classes.  The first Freshman Function is tomorrow evening at 8:30pm in the Clough Dining Hall.   This event like the others to follow are a chance for ninth graders to interact with other ninth graders and faculty, have fun, and perhaps even learn a little about themselves and others.   We will have ice cream sundaes with the ninth grade mentor group.

For day ninth grade day students there will be a study hall in Clough Dining Hall from 7 to 8:30pm so you do not have to go home.  There is also a residential rumble at 9pm.  You will want to participate.  The residential rumble are fun games or challenges to allow the three dorms, Gehring, Holden, and Davidson to compete against each other and the Day Student team.  Each team will need ninth graders to participate.

Also, we will have another event next Thursday, September 16.  We are going to Camp Kawanhee to participate in some group building.  We will use their high and low ropes course to accomplish some tasks.  We will leave at 9am from the bell tower and return in time for dinner.  You will need to address appropriately to participate.  This means clothing that you can move in, a warm top, rain gear, and closed toed shoes.  It is also important to bring water.  Many students like to bring a camera as well.  It is always a great day.
