Hanscom Hall: Community, Creativity, Innovation…and Renovation
“Imagination is the beginning of creation. You imagine what you desire, you will what you imagine, and at last, you create what you will.”
George Bernard Shaw in Back to Methuselah
We are very excited that on June 8, 2014 (the day after graduation!) we will begin the second phase of Hanscom Hall’s renovation.
In this phase we will complete the IDEAS Center, a space that puts design thinking and the development of creative confidence at the heart of our already rigorous curriculum.
This renovation also includes a new school store and creation of a student cafe.
All of these spaces will be ready for faculty and students by January 1, 2015.
What is design thinking and what’s the big deal with creative confidence? See Sara Shifrin ’88, IDEAS Center Director, explain this and more in the video below.
