Gould Hires New Assistant Head for Enrollment
Gould Academy has hired Wilbraham & Monson Academy admissions professional Chris Sparks as its assistant head of school for enrollment management.
“We are excited to welcome Chris to the Gould community,” said Head of School Matt Ruby. “Chris has a strong background of success in admissions work, and we look forward to the expertise and experience he will bring to a great admissions team here at Gould.”
Sparks will leave Wilbraham & Monson Academy after six successful years in its admissions office. Most recently he was the director of admissions where he and his staff successfully increased enrollment at the school and diversified its student population.
Prior to Wilbraham & Monson, Sparks was a collegiate assistant men’s basketball coach at schools including University of Pennsylvania, Central Connecticut State University, and Brown University.
“My family and I are thrilled to join the Gould Community,” said Sparks. “Gould’s reputation for excellence, incorporating traditional and non-traditional programming that is set among the stunning natural beauty of Maine made our decision easy. I look forward to working alongside the many people who make Gould such a wonderful place.”
Sparks is a graduate of the University of Southern Maine where he received a Bachelor of Arts in history in 1999.
Chris and his wife, Leah, have four children.
