Good TV Shows

January 28, 2013

Hey hey hey,

How was everyone’s weekend? After eating a lot, watching over ten episodes of SATC, and running around on the Reachout Rink, it’s Monday again.

But I also really enjoyed a series over the weekend that I haven’t seen in a long time. If anyone has HBO subscription, I hope you guys remember The No. 1 Ladies Detective Agency.

Starring professional singer Jill Scott, this wonderful series is about a woman in Botswana and her journey to achieve her No. 1 dream: becoming the first female detective in the country of Botswana. Opening up a small business in one of the country’s smallest cities, the main character (Precious) meets many kinds of people and makes relationships as the country’s first female detective. The show chronicles Precious’ life and for her crusade for justice, one case at a time. The series is witty, funny, sincere, and most of all, down-to-earth.

I think it was a great series to watch, especially in light of MLK Day last Monday, and maybe Mrs. Donovan will show it next year to all you Gouldies. If you don’t have HBO, maybe try Netflix or your local video store. I’m sure someone’s bound to have it, and you really don’t want to miss it.

Anyone else have suggestions for shows for me to catch up? What shows or programs keep you coming back for more? Let’s hear it in the comments below!

In other unrelated news, 12!!!!!!!! more days until I hear from my top-choice school: The University of Florida. (If you couldn’t tell already, that thought pops into my head frequently).

Till next time,

Zee 🙂
