From Gould and Back: Two Decades of Art by Alexander Sovet Chapman, ’92

The exhibition consists of drawing, painting, and sculpture, and will be on view through October 20th.

Alexander Sovet Chapman graduated from Gould Academy in 1992 and went on to Wheaton College, where he earned a BA in Studio Art in 1996.  After a few years working independently, he pursued graduate studies at Vermont College and earned an MFA in Visual Art in 2002.

Chapman has shown his work widely, most notably at the Newport Art Museum, AVA Gallery, Hera Gallery, and Wheaton College.  He is currently represented by the Ambergris Gallery on Block Island, Rhode Island.

Chapman splits his time between studios in Cornish, New Hampshire and Block Island, Rhode Island.
