The team had an awesome day this past Friday at Sunday River during their first USASA Slopestyle competition of the year.

The Freeski athlete comp started at 11 am, after the snowboarders, and with the start of the comp came the start of the snow.  It snowed for the duration of the competition, making the course a bit slow, but that did not stop the crew from putting down some awesome runs and having a great time in the process.

Slopestyle Venue

The Sunday River Parks crew did an excellent job setting up the slopestyle course on lower T72.  It is the first time we have held a slopestyle event at that venue and it was one of the best course set-ups we have had in many years.

Many thanks to the USASA Maine Mountain Series Crew, the Sunday River event staff, and the Sunday River Parks Crew! And a big shout out to Coach Cogswell for getting ahead of the slow conditions by waxing the crew’s skis prior to the comp on Friday morning.
