Final Day #2, Snow Day #1

November 14, 2014

Today was the first snow day of the 2014-2015 school year! Most of the snow has melted by now but the morning view was amazing.

Other than the first snow day of the year, we kicked off the school day by watching four teachers get pies to their faces. Now this wasn’t just a random activity to cheer us up before exams, it was a fundraiser for the Bethel Food Pantry. They raised money by organizing four faculty teams composed of three or four teachers, and set up jugs (that were eventually filled with money) with each team’s names on them. These jugs were put out in the library for people to donate. In total they raised 137 dollars which doesn’t seem like a lot, but it was. For every $1, Mr. Bean can get $4 of food for the Bethel Food Pantry. So with the $137 they raised, Mr. Bean can get $548 dollars worth of food. This fundraiser was a great way to raise money for a good cause, and get a good laugh in. Here’s the video shot by Dirk MacKnight:

This morning was also our third exam, but we have the afternoon off which is perfect for relaxing after all these finals.

See you next Wednesday,

Nice shot (and post), Cullen. Y’know what’s cool about Gould? Quite a sight watching the Ordway-Bingham parade this morning… you guys engage in the natural world we’re in here. 9th grade kids and adults all taking pictures of this morning’s beautiful snowy mountain scenes, while we’re en route to final exams. Keepin’ it real!
