Last year in the spring, I took one of my favorite classes, Intro to Filmmaking, with Mr. Gilman. Although this class seemed like the most stressful, it was by far the best class I’ve taken at Gould. Filmmaking gives you the opportunity to meet new people through your work, and show everyone what you do for fun at Gould. This was everyone’s first time working with filming and editing so we were all on the same level. Mr. Gilman showed us everything we needed to know to make a good final project. Here are my personal favorites from this class:

An interview of Yutaro Yamaguchi, by Will Cole

A commercial featuring Schuyler Leff by John Canning:

John Canning’s Final project, a mock horror movie, (this is probably my favorite!)

And finally, our whole class made a trailer on Grandparents Day, which was fun for our Grandparents to see what we were doing

This class is the perfect time to have a fun time, joke around in your videos, (but also take it seriously at the same time), and I encourage all students to give this class a shot, I promise you won’t regret it!

See ya next Friday!
