Dr. Clarke addresses the school at assembly about Egypt

Dr. Clarke talked with the students about what is happening in Egypt.  He  updated students on the recent democratic protests in the Middle East.  He also discussed the role of demographics, food prices and social media.   Here is the link to the video he shared with the school.

Mr. Kimball then added to the presentation by talking specifically about social media like Twitter and Facebook in the recent protests.  His point was driven home when he showed the number of posts on Twitter in the last two minutes under Egypt and explained how a Public Radio journalists is using social media to write his own stories and the LA times and Youtube are collaborating to created a set of videos depicting the scenes of the current protest in Egypt.
