Happy Friday Everyone!

Well it’s been a few weeks since I have posted. I had a busy exam week, so unfortunately, I didn’t have time to write a post. Then, two weeks later, there was no way I would be able to post because I will still in a food coma.

On Tuesday, I got the news of Jacoby Ellsbury deciding to go to the evil empire, the New York Yankees.  I immediately thought of 2006 when star outfielder, Johnny Damon, also took the money and ran. So, let’s look at a few comparisons:

Center fielder
Lead-off hitter
Weak arm
Stole lots of bases
Not a great hitter
Wanted way too much money
All Boston women had a crush on him
Drove a nice car
Left Boston for New York
Left one year after World Series victory

Center fielder
Lead-off hitter
Decent arm
Stole 50 bases
Moderate hitter
Not worth $22 million a year
All Boston women had a crush on him
Drives a nice car
Left Boston for New York
Left the year after World Series victory

Okay, let’s look. Oh man…something tells me this is fate. He had to. Especially since they both won a ring, threw up the peace sign, and took a bite out of the big apple. I would also like to personally say that I have an extreme dislike for the Yankees as well as every person in the front offices in Yankee Stadium. Especially since they all tore down “The house that Ruth built.” It takes a unique person to want to anger an entire city as much as Steinbrenner does.

As for Mr. Ellsbury, go ahead, take your money. I cannot wait to see the look on your face when you are sitting on the couch next October watching your old team go for a repeat.
