Darfur Genocide Survivor to Speak at Gould Academy

El-Fadel Arbab of the Fur Cultural Revival (FCR) in Portland, ME will share his experiences as a survivor of the continuing genocide in Darfur and his eventual immigration to the United States.

The lecture will take place Tuesday, January 31 in Bingham Auditorium at 7:00 p.m. It is free and open to the public.

The Fur Cultural Revival (FCR) is a non-governmental, non-profit organization committed to broadening the public’s awareness of genocide in Darfur, serving the needs of the Darfur community residing in the greater Portland area, and preserving the Fur tribal culture.

This program is sponsored by Gould Academy Reach Out, a club for students at Gould who embrace the spirit of volunteerism locally, nationally, and globally.
