Hey everyone!

I hope all of your weekends were fun and exciting here at the academy.  Although I was not on campus on Saturday night (for reasons we’ll discuss further down on this post) I heard the late night showing of mean girls was quite the hit. On the subject of sports, the women’s field hockey team traveled down to Berwick Academy on Saturday afternoon to play an exciting match leading into OT.  Berwick pulled away with the win however, with less than two minutes left to score.  I have to say I’m impressed with my teams progress – we went from being the motley crew consisting of freshman to seniors, both experienced players to girls who had never held a field hockey stick before, to a team who can work together as one, and be somewhat successful on the field. Once the MAISAD tournaments start, we’ll really see how successful we as a team can be.

Now this weekend I left school to do one thing: apply to college. I never really understood until this year how stressful senior year can be.   Balancing academics, sports, social life, and of course college applications can be very difficult, but also very rewarding in the end.  This weekend I pushed the “submit” button on the common app, and applied to my top schools.  I encourage all of you seniors out there to pull through and get your applications done, so you can sit back and relax like I now can.

Have a great week!
