Christmas time…is here!

December 25, 2011

Hi everybody!

So it’s been a week or so since break started, and it seems like it was just yesterday. I’ve been having an amazing time, with family and friends, on the hill and off it, then down to upstate New York (To see both sets of my Grandparents), and I’m about to head back again. Crazy times!

And of course, the thing that this break is centered around has been the highlight! Christmas is one of my favorite times of year, as I get to see most of my family, eat some good food, and of course, give and receive presents! For me, it all started off 2 days ago. We headed down to Binghamton to visit my Dad’s parents and my 2 Aunts and Uncles. It was a blast to get to see my cousins and that part of the family, and eat some truly amazing food and desserts.

After a couple of nights down there, we headed to Thendara to visit my Mom’s side of the family! My Uncle and Aunt just got a new puppy, an adorable boxer. SO CUTE. We certainly spent some time bonding with Tucker. Then, we headed off to a 10 ‘o clock candlelight service at my Grandparents church, and went to bed(but not before my mom could read ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas to us) when we woke up this morning, we saw this:

Ah, the christmas tree. I adore those lights.

Anyways, that’s the highlights of my crazy holiday. Hope you all are having just as good a holiday as I am, and travelling safe. Enjoy the rest of your break!

Oh, and by the way, I’m gonna give a big shout out to Mother Nature, who made a white Christmas possible. I honestly didn’t think it was gonna happen, but it makes it a lot nicer that it did.

Happy Trails,

~John
