Busy, Busy, Busy!

Happy Friday Everyone!

It’s been a very busy few weeks back here at the Academy. We have been running around getting back into the swing of things!

Unfortunately, I have nothing big to share with you this week. Thus far, the baseball team is 0-2 but we have shown lots of potential. The first game we played was the very first time that we had been on grass. We suffered a 1-3 loss to Morse High School. But, Yutaro (’16) pitched an excellent game. One of our new pitchers, Marcus (’18) also pitched well and struck out four batters in two innings. We also saw a lot of first hits like a line drive single from Harrison (’14).

In the second game of the year, we traveled down to face a talented Berwick Academy. Berwick has been state champion in recent years and  has a reputation for being a very strong team. But, we played an outstanding game. We lost in extra innings with a final score of 7-8. We saw a lot of offensive production with several important hits. There were some great plays in the outfield form Ward (’16), and Sawyer (’14).

This weekend we are hoping to have some strong outings against Mt. Abram and the team across the tracks, Telstar. I personally love to play Telstar because I get to play against all of my old friends from middle school.

Until Next Week,
