Gould Academy Takes Home Seven Medals from USASA National Championships

Bethel, Maine (April 6, 2015) — Seven podiums, 25 top ten placements (including podiums), 48 top twenty placements (including the top tens), and 70 total starts –- these are the final results from the Gould Academy Competition Program snowboard team’s trip out to the USASA Snowboard National Championship at Copper Mountain (March 28 – April 7).

Some notable moments for the Gould Academy Competition Program riders include:

April 3 , 2015 – Day 6: On the final day of competition, Matt Wolfe ’16 earned a gold medal in Banked Slalom.

April 2, 2015 – Day 5: Senior Bo Warren stomped his run in Slopestyle to take home a silver medal.

April 1, 2015 – Day 4: Four podium appearances in four days for the team, Emma Scheidegger ‘16 grabbed a silver medal in Boardercross for the Junior Women age group (16-17).

March 31, 2015 – Day 3: Three days, three podiums for the Gould Academy Competition Program. Weekend Program rider Aidan Mahoney landed himself a silver medal in Boardercross.

March 30, 2015 – Day 2: The snowboard team kept their good start going with another podium. Mikey Lacroix ‘16 takes home a bronze medal in Boardercross for the Junior Men’s Age group (16-17).

March 29, 2015 – Day 1: Gould Academy student-athlete Shannon Maguire ‘16 places 2nd in the Junior Women’s Slalom.
